If you are an Entrepreneur, I just want to say…

Thank you.

I was asked to help present to Verne Harnish’s Scaling Up Master Class this week, specifically for the “Entrepreneur-only” section of the event.

In this session, we usually take some time to meet with just the Entrepreneurs prior to the full two days of content, to give them the space to think about and talk about the stuff an Entrepreneur can’t normally share with their team.

I have done this event many times, and every single time it is a true pleasure—and this week was no exception.

I often close with a ‘thank you’ to the attendees for doing what they do.

It is hard to be an Entrepreneur.

It requires tolerance for risk.

And loneliness.

And often no safety net…

Sure it has it’s perks no doubt about it… But it is really hard.

Entrepreneurs are the backbone of our society.

They create 70+% of all the jobs in the U.S. (conservatively).

They drive innovation.

They make our day-to-day lives more enjoyable, easier, and less stressful.

They employ our friends, and neighbors, and kids and parents.

So, if you are an Entrepreneur, on this beautiful nearly summer Friday, I just want to say…

Thank you.

Thank you for taking the risk.

Thank you for making the world a better place.

Thank you for leading in your company, and in your community, and in our society.

Thank you for doing the difficult things others don’t…

It is an honor to live my life in service to my fellow Entrepreneurs and I am feeling deeply grateful for the opportunity.

Cheers,
