Entrepreneurs are often unique individuals. It’s what makes us view the world differently. I have often been called quirky which I wear as a badge of honor! One of the ways this manifests is when it comes to the 4 days of the year I get most excited about.

Any guesses??

Nope, not Christmas, or Easter.

Not the 4th of July.

Not the obvious ones like my birthday or anniversary, or kids’ birthdays.

Don’t get me wrong I love all of those days and look forward to celebrating them… but they are not my favorites.

My 4 favorite days of any year, regardless of where the day falls in the week are January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.

And not for the champagne or pranks, summer or pumpkin spice!

What makes these my favorites are…

NEW BEGINNINGS!

FRESH STARTS!!

Unlimited opportunity…

And my #1 of the 4…is New Year’s Day (of course)! A new year, a clean calendar, a completely fresh start. Followed closely by the start to the other 3 quarters of the year.

I like to live in a quarterly cadence in terms of goal setting, planning, and new ideas. I take time each quarter to reflect back on the prior 12 weeks.

The start to any quarter is a great time to reflect on:

what worked last quarter?

where are you going?

where have you been?

what are you happy about?

what didn’t go so well but provided lessons? (you are either winning or learning!).

And definitely, a time to celebrate successes!
